Mid-nineteenth century portable desk that belonged to leading Chilean politician, historian and writer Benjamín Vicuña Mackenna. Made of varnished mahogany, it measures 29.5 x 20 x 20 cm and has a handle, a drawer and places for inkwells and pens.
