Bed to belonged to Paula Jaraquemada

This bed, that belonged to heroine of the Independence of Chile, Paula Jaraquemada, has a metal structure that is covered with gold and lacquered paper mache and painted with flowers.

The headboard is also made of paper mache with mother-of-pearl inlays and has a painting of a landscape with a palace in the background and a lake. It is on display in the Bedroom section of the Museum.
